POSGCD Welcomes New Field Technician

On January 4, 2021, Post Oak Savannah Groundwater Conservation District welcomed Jordan Aldridge as a Field Technician Contractor. Ms. Aldridge has a bachelor’s degree in geology from Texas Christian University and a master’s degree in environmental management from St. Edward’s University

Jordan has over five years of experience conducting fieldwork, data review, technical support and 

compliance review.  She worked as a Geologist for Hicks & Company of Austin, TX where she was involved in a variety of biological studies, including conducting general biological surveys, evaluations and assessments in support of Endangered Species Act (ESA), consultation and Clean Water Act (CWA) permitting requirements and conducting baseline studies. Prior to her experience as a Geologist, she worked as a Hydrologic Technician for the Department of the Interior, United States Geological Survey in Fort Worth TX and a Reserve Analyst and Mineral Appraiser with the Capitol Appraisal Group Inc., Austin, TX. Her first job after graduation was a Field Service Operator with Schlumberger Drilling and Measurements in Houston, TX.

As a Field Technician Contractor for POSGCD, Aldridge will assist Craig Andrews and Bobby Bazan in monitoring wells, checking water levels and water quality, troubleshooting, and performing well inspections. 

Ms. Aldridge said that her experience and background in Geology and Hydrology, as well as her experience as a field service operator will help her perform the duties of the POSGCD Field Technician. In addition, she will be talking to landowners about adding their wells to the POSGCD Monitoring Network. 

Jordan will be a valuable addition to the POSGCD staff ,and we are excited to have her aboard.
