District’s Sponsorship & Scholarship Program

Post Oak Savannah GCD’s 4-H20 Sponsorship and Scholarship program is available to students accepted to the Texas 4-H Water Ambassadors Program. The District covers expenses incurred while participating in the program (annual fees) and related events, such as retreats and summer leadership academies. The scholarship is $1,250 per year of active program participation, with up to $5,000 for participation in all four years. Texas 4-H Water Ambassadors Program

The Texas 4-H Water Ambassadors Program was established in 2017 to educate youth about water resources in Texas. Every spring, high school students from across the state are selected to participate in a summer 4-H2O Leadership Academy (tour). Students travel throughout Texas to learn how water is collected, conveyed, treated, conserved and managed to meet the need of our economy and citizenry.

Important Dates & Deadlines

  • March 1, 2026 – Online applications open
  • April 15, 2026 – Online applications close
  • May 1, 2026 – Applicants notified of acceptance status
  • June 1, 2026 – $300 program participation fee due
