Position: Field Technician
Pay Range: $50,000 to $55,000 or Commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Position Description: Responsible for performing skilled tasks to achieve the Districts management goals including the District’s monitoring well network, well plugging program, and the Groundwater Well Assistance Program.
Position Responsibilities:
- This position reports to the Water Resources Manager
- Communication with people from the community on a daily basis
- Installing, maintaining, troubleshooting and preventative maintenance on well monitoring equipment
- Assist the Water Resources Manager in determining wells that qualify for the District’s Groundwater Well Assistance Program
- Assist the Water Resource Manager in determining wells that qualify for the District’s Plugging Program
- Perform downhole camera inspections
- Must be able and willing to work alone, work overtime, and schedule work as needed
- Must understand and comply with the District’s Guidance Document
- Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level while maintaining commitment to customer service and professional working relationships with customers and co-workers
- Perform well inspections
- Perform other duties and activities as assigned by the Water Resource Manager or the General Manager
Skills and Knowledge:
- Must be dependable, self-directed and a team player with a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Basic understanding of well construction and aquifer dynamics
- Ability to learn and retain information related to monitoring equipment, aquifer dynamics and District programs
- Must have a valid driver’s license to be able and willing to drive to remote field locations and to maintain an acceptable driving record
- Must have professional appearance and good people skills
- Must have good written and verbal communication skills
- Basic computer skills with capability of utilizing the computer as an appropriate diagnostic tool
Education:
- Bachelor Degree preferred, high school or equivalent required
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday 8 am – 4 pm
- Some overtime required
